How we list restoration shops
Water Restoration List is a directory, not a restoration contractor. This page explains exactly where listings come from and how they change, so you can judge how much to trust them.
Who gets listed
A shop is listed for a city when its own website publishes a phone number, water damage or mold work, and service in that city. We do not list shops from paid lead lists or ad placements, and a shop cannot buy its way onto a list.
What we check
We copy the phone, address, IICRC certifications, and 24/7 status as the shop publishes them, and label them that way ("as published on their site"). We last checked every listing against the shop's own site on September 10, 2026. We do not test response times or audit certifications, so confirm cards and hours when you call.
What we never publish
No star ratings, no invented reviews, no "trusted by" badges, and no carrier partnerships. When a shop's site quotes its own review count, we repeat it with the date we saw it.
How the list is ordered
Shops with an office in the city come first. Shops based outside the city that publish coverage for it come after, marked as based elsewhere. Within each group, shops appear in the order we added them. Order is not paid.
When a city goes live
We publish a city page only once at least three shops pass the checks above. A page with one or two shops does not give you a real choice at 2 a.m.
How the directory makes money
Listings are free and unpaid. When you use the callback form and check the consent box, we may share that one request with one restoration company that serves your city and pays us for it. That company may or may not also appear in the list. We never sell calling lists or share a request you did not consent to.
Corrections and removal
Shop owners and readers can email leads@waterrestorationlist.com with a correction, a closed location, or a removal request. Include the page URL and a link to the public source. We review every request and update the page and the verified date when we change a listing.
